We, the undersigned, are calling for an immediate and thorough review of the case against Dieneba Traore, who was recently convicted in Columbia, Maryland under questionable and unjust circumstances. Dieneba is a beloved mother, daughter, cousin, and member of our community. Her case was handled in a way that raises serious concerns about fairness, integrity, and due process. Evidence was overlooked, key facts were misrepresented, and there was a noticeable lack of transparency throughout the trial. This is not just a legal issue — it is a moral one. A wrongful conviction not only strips a person of their freedom, but it also deeply harms families and communities.

We demand:

  • A full, independent review of Dieneba’s case.
  • Immediate attention from state officials and legal authorities.
  • Transparency and fairness in all proceedings related to her sentence.

Reason

Dieneba Traore is a loving mother , daughter and active member of the Howard County community. She was  recently convicted in Columbia, Maryland under highly unjust circumstances. Her case was handled erroneously , in a way that misrepresented her character and raises serious concerns about fairness, integrity, and due process; not only in the Howard county judicial system, but in the United States judicial process as a whole.

Dieneba’s case was mishandled and is a direct violation of the 5th and 14th amendments of the US Constitution, ensuring equal protection and due process amongst all individuals.

Thank you for your support, Vera Mitchell, Owings Mills

Why people sign

“Prisons do not disappear social problems, they disappear human beings.” - Angela Davis
Free this mother who was simply trying to protect her son.

This petition is important to me not only because Ms. Zenobia has been such an amazing, nurturing loving woman who has helped me and countless others to do life the right way. She is one of many BLACK woman being systematically abused. She deserves justice for the time she has lost with her family. Her children deserve justice for not being able to physically be raised by their mom. She’s such an amazing mother , friend, sister , daughter etc

This is a young lady who claims her innocence and her family needs her. Wrongful incarceration is never ok.¹

Fairness and equal justice.

She is innocent.
